Did you know that from the end of November 2020 public authorities in Germany will only accept electronic invoices in a specified format?<\/p>\n

This puts public institutions ahead of private companies, where invoicing is still very diverse. Here, electronic invoices are mostly PDF documents whose further processing is not guaranteed electronically. Paper invoices will also still be accepted.<\/p>\n

Invoicing public administration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Federal E-Invoicing regulation (ERechV) offers suppliers advantages such as more efficient invoicing and faster payment because paper and postage are no longer required. Access is granted via the central invoice receipt platform ZRE (Link: https:\/\/xrechnung.bund.de\/prod\/authenticate.do).<\/p>\n

The prerequisite is the creation of Xinvoices in structured electronic format according to the European CEN data model.<\/p>\n

When will you apply to this method?<\/strong><\/p>\n

For a long time it was unclear which format would prevail. Since Xinvoices are supported by various ERP systems, the decision is easier to take.<\/p>\n

Even if you are not (yet) a public sector customer, shouldn’t you switch to X-invoices as well? Check your ERP system to see whether Xinvoices can be generated and processed.<\/p>\n

In doing so, observe the GoBD in the new version of 28.11.2019 on procedural documentation of processing and storage.<\/p>\n

The advantages for the entire supply chain are obvious. Processing in remote mode (during the corona crisis) is possible.<\/p>\n
